Albuquerque Art - Spring Semester
Registered Homeschoolers in the greater ABQ area may join Noble Homeschool Academy for in person group art lessons on Fridays. This semester (12 week) course will run from March 11 - May 27.
Students in grades K-4 will have 12 one hour sessions on Fridays from 12-1pm.
Students in grades K-4 will have a shorter prep and clean up time and spend their session creating art. Students are working toward earning their semester credit in visual arts and therefore must complete 2 art show worthy pieces with their best work! Student will learn to plan, create, complete and "finish" their detailed projects. Projects will differ from our older 5-8 grade projects. If you have a sibling in another class please be understanding that we are all at different levels and abilities. We will create our best personal art works!
Students in grades 5-8 will attend 12 sessions lasting 1.5 hours each week from 1:15-2:45.
Students in grades 5-8 are expected to earn their semester credit in visual arts, complete several long term art projects, included 2 pieces that are art show worthy. These classes have a longer duration due to the detail and work that 5-8th graders must complete to earth their semester credit.
Class is $125/student. There is not sibling discount provided...this is because each student will have their own art materials included in their tuition fee. $35 New family registration fee is waived for homeschoolers in the Albuquerque area to thank you for supporting our business!
Students should arrive on time to class - however if you are late - please come anyway. We love having you in class and understand that things can happen!
Students should wear clothes that are deemed "art class/play clothes" worthy. We will have some spills, messes, "oopses" etc while we are putting our best art into the world. Some of our accidents will stain and we do not want to make any parents upset! So, please dress appropriately for class but not in your "Sunday best".
Parent may leave the premises for 3-8th grade students. Parents must return to pick up at the designated class end time. Parents must provide and sign written permission/emergency contact info for all students attending art class.
Students must pay in full before attending class. If a payment plan is needed please contact the school director about this and we will discuss. We understand that big families come with a higher cost and we understand a payment plan may be necessary.
If you are already enrolled in another Noble Academy Course you may apply your returning student discount to art class.
Spring semester art will follow a curriculum of Traditional art through asia. Traditional art techniques will be presented. All skills will be covered that are needed for piece completion. Students do not need prior formal art experience to attend class.
Semester will end with an art show. All students will have more than 1 show piece presented at the art show. This is also a great homeschool portfolio item!
